Another trip to the doctor

I decided yesterday afternoon to pretty much give up on eating. No nursing, no bottle. Mommy started thinking something was wrong with me- it was just a feeling that she had. She realized that the last time I'd eaten was at Mrs. Diana's house while the older kids were playing. She thought about it and knew something was up. Noni came to take care of me while Mommy and Daddy took my big brother to his preschool. I ate a little bit for Noni but so little that she also knew something was up. If Mommy would feed me I'd spit it out. Daddy tried to feed me but I did the same thing for him. So, Mommy called the doctor at 7:00 this morning and they said to bring me on in. Mommy was right, it had nothing to do with the formula but everything to do with a bad case of acid reflux. I now have 2 medicines to take but I will be fine. For now, I'm most comfortable sleeping in my swing. You guys all send up a prayer for me that I don't have to go get an IV this weekend before the meds kick in.

The life of a 6 week old.

Not too much of anything. Over the weekend, I got to get out and about a bit. Friday, was a big shopping trip at Wal Mart for me, Luke, and Mom. On Saturday we went to church and out to eat for Dinner. We also went to Old Navy. I was a really good girl the entire time. Actually, whenever we go out I'm on my best behavior. Sunday morning we went to Papa and Noni's. My big brother loves going there and now I do too. I have good nights and bad night as far as sleep goes. My Mommy is trying hard to get me on a schedule in order to restore some type of peace in our house before my big brother goes back to school. As for my hair- it still has it's own mind. Each morning Mommy is excited to see what it wants to do for the day!

I am starting to smile!

I smiled at my Daddy when he got home from work yesterday. I smiled at Mommy off and on all day today. Actually, when Mrs. Diana and Noni told me I was pretty I smiled at them too! Mommy can't wait till I do it all the time:) But, when she wanted to smile today in a picture this is what I did for her.

This week....

is just flying by. Today Mom and Noni took me to the doctor with them. I was the perfect angel the whole time that we were gone. But- it took Mom hours to get ready because I would scream my head off for some reason she couldn't figure out. I enjoyed getting out with them today. Mom enjoys getting out of the house too. Dr. H gave Mom a small gift for me- a burp cloth that says "Delivered by Dr. Harrison". Mom is no fun, she says we are going to put it up and not use it. I intend to keep Mom on her toes for the rest of this week.

My special Day!

My Baptism was today and according to everyone I was stunning. Luke just couldn't get over how beautiful I was in my dress. My Mommy made it the whole time without crying. I was the precious angel from heaven during the entire Mass, Baptism, and party. A big thank you goes out to Noni and Papa (my Godparents) for throwing me the special party. Also, thank you BepBep for helping Noni get it all together, for my dress, for cleaning my house, and for helping Fr. Charlie. I got to meet a couple family members for the first time- Uncle Robert, Uncle Dick, and my cousin Blake. I also met a bunch of people at church that I'd never seen before but I slept through all of that.

1 Month Old

Time sure does go by fast doesn't it? Life is pretty good to me though. I will sleep good if someone is kind enough to hold me. I love nursing and my Mommy holding me. I love Daddy when he comes home from work and my big brother kissing on me. I hate naps and getting a bath. The thing I hate the most is getting my Pj's on after my bath. I don't do much these days but that will change too.

But, it was a kinda sad day cause I had to go to the doctor. I ran a fever during the night and the doctor thinks it is a virus but it could also be the start of RSV. Say a prayer for me to get well soon. It's been a lot of up and down during rest times but Mommy and Daddy feel so bad for me. The doctor said I could sleep in my swing or with one of them holding me in the recliner. We may be in for a long weekend! Oh, I weighed in at a big ole 7 lbs 10 oz at 4 weeks. I've gained over a pound in 2 weeks! I like to eat. Just to compare: I weigh a little less than my brother did when he was born and he was 5 weeks early! Look how big my feet are.

The sleep saga continues...

Last Friday, after nights of little sleep, Mommy decided to let me in the bed with her. I was such a good girl and slept from 10:30-5:00. The next night, I didn't do quite that well but still good. Each night has gotten a little worse and last night I was naughty to my Mommy. I stayed up from 2 AM till 8AM and right about the time Mommy got me asleep my brother woke up. She ordered me a co-sleeper and please pray that works- my Mom needs her rest to take care of me during the day. She took a really quick video of me in the middle of the night.

Precious baby girl THREE weeks old!

Aniston- this is your Mommy

and it is, of course, the middle of the night. I am up with you because you won't sleep but right now you are happy in your bathtub so I'm doing a little shopping on the internet. I started thinking about all the dreams that I have for you and for us. Next thing you know, I am on your blog "writing" them all down so one day you can read this and make fun of me.

These are the things I want us to experience together:

Painting our nails and toenails
Buying you a confirmation dress that is different from everyone else's
Shopping for the perfect dress and matching shoes
Checking out the latest in hair and make-up
Talking about your boyfriend
Taking you and your girlfriends to a concert
Searching over and over for the perfect Prom dress and hiding the cost from Daddy
Searching the world over for the perfect Wedding dress and hiding the cost from Daddy
Talking about your husband
Seeing you with your new baby for the first time
Watching your raise your kids

I know these things are years and years off and many of them BETTER be years and years off but you need to know that I have big dreams for you little girl!
